Riyadh – The much-anticipated FEI Dressage and Jumping World Cup™ Final is set to commence this week in Riyadh, the vibrant capital of Saudi Arabia. The venue is abuzz with the energy of horses, athletes, and officials, marking the culmination of over two years of meticulous planning and preparation.
With less than 48 hours remaining until the event's inauguration, the organizing committee is ensuring the final details to guarantee a flawless experience as the first set of equestrian partners rides into the Main Arena on Wednesday.
The presence of seasoned and globally-travelled athletes sets a high standard for what promises to be an extraordinary event. Their initial impressions hint at a truly exceptional experience for all involved.
One of the pillars of the event is the utmost attention to horse welfare, with no expense spared to provide a comfortable environment for both the animals and their caregivers. The expansive stables, spanning 2800 square meters and equipped with air-conditioning, double as an indoor walkway for added convenience.
Complementing the stables is an air-conditioned warm-up tent and two indoor warm-up arenas, designed to offer optimal conditions for athletes and horses alike.
A standout feature is the dedicated horse walking area, covering 2,700 square meters within the stable complex, and connected by shaded walks for seamless movement and relaxation.
Grooms are enjoying their exclusive relaxation area located just steps away from the stables, reflecting the hallmark of traditional Arabian hospitality. The newly inaugurated Radisson BLU Hotel, situated mere meters from the stables, offers luxurious accommodation ensuring absolute comfort for the duration of the event.
After a smooth transport, the horses are now settled, grooms are content, and athletes are eagerly gathering on-site, setting the stage for an unforgettable FEI Dressage and Jumping World Cup™ Finals experience. A team of FEI Officials, hailing from various corners of the globe, is diligently overseeing the on-site facilities and training schedule, supported by specialists and footing expert Oliver Hoberg.
